17/08/2010 Three new additions for the UEFA Europa League match
Walter, Castro and Rúben Micael are the latest additions to the FC Porto squad that will be playing the first round of the UEFA Europa League play-offs. FC Porto will face Genk this Thursday at 20h30 local time (19h30 in Portugal) at the Arena Cristal Stadium in Belgium.
On the other hand, three players are unavailable to play and not an option for André Villas-Boas. These include the left winger Cristian Rodriguez and midfielder Guarín that remain under observation by the club’s medical team (the Uruguayan player being restricted to gym training and the Colombian limited to specific treatment).
Mariano’s name is still registered on the clinical report, continuing to be submitted to treatment and gym training
FC Porto’s last training session on Portuguese soil, in preparation for the match against the Belgian team, took place this Tuesday. The gathering took place at Olival, which included the goalkeeper Kadú from the under-17 squad, as well as the midfielder André Teixeira from the under-19 squad.
The team’s agenda includes the trip to Belgium tomorrow on the 9h30 morning flight, departing from Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport and scheduled to arrive at 12h20 local time. The pre-game press conference will take place at 18h00 local time and the pre-game training, which will allow the squad to adapt itself to the pitch, is scheduled to take place at 18h30 local time at the Cristal Arena Stadium.
