07/09/2010 Obradovic: «I’m a very proud man»
The FC Porto Vitalis team fell short of one single second and was one goal away from reaching the group stage of the EHF Champions League. Nonetheless, the team’s coach praised the squad’s performance and the public’s support. Check out both the FC Porto coach and player Peter Spinola’s statements as declared at the press conference after the clash with HC Dinamo Minsk (23-23).
Ljubomir Obradovic «Firstly, I’m very proud of my players as well as the fans that supported the team from beginning to end. Tactically and physically, we endured it all. Moreover, I’m very sad, because our team is indeed a very serious one that trains every day for four or more hours. Dinamo Minsk is a very serious and high-quality team that knows what it wants at all time, both in its defense and attack. My congratulations go out to them for qualifying for the Champions League, wishing them the best of luck. »
Pedro Spínola «A win may happen by a single goal, just as a loss occurs by that same single goal. We feel great frustration for not having reached our season’s objective by a single second. It is not easy to take this all in. We must, however, continue to work for our remaining objectives. We only just started the season; we have barely been working for a month. Next year, we’ll have the opportunity to once more play for this objective and that’s what’s most important. » |
