A perfect ten for FC Porto

Having won the tenth consecutive roller hockey title, FC Porto have summed up, for the third consecutive time, prominence concerning group sports, a feat that no other Portuguese team have till now achieved. From the playing field to the pavilion, the Dragons have won all the national senior competitions, expanded by the female swimming team’s win.

Before the overall success of 2010/11, FC Porto had previously achieved excellence over the 2003/04 season, a season that also included a European win, and in the 1998/99 season, the football team were crowned champions for a fifth consecutive time. Over the current season, apart from senior football, handball, basketball, roller hockey and swimming titles, the under-15 and under-19 youth football teams were also crowned champions.

Apart from the similarities between the two outstanding seasons, the European wins over the 2003/04 and 2010/11 seasons are prominent, with wins in Gelsenkirchen and Dublin: the first concerning the Champions League, and the latter in the UEFA Europa League.
