Hulk scored against Argentina

Hulk was the white and blue player with better reviews last weekend, in international duty. The number 12 of the national champions was in the starting line-up in the epic Brazil-Argentina and was in the scoreboard, but in the end the Argentineans won, 4-3. João Moutinho, Varela, James, Alvaro Pereira and Djalma were also used by their respective national squads.

The “Incredible” played in one of the most exciting games of the planet, showing his qualities in the starting line-up of Mano Menezes. Hulk was one of the best Brazilian players and scored the third goal of the “yellows”, a shot with his left foot, after a corner kicked taken by Neymar. The white and blue player may have convinced the national manager to take him to the Olympic matches, but, in the end, Argentina had the final saying, with Messi, the captain, scoring a hat-trick, shining brighter than the rest.

For the Euro 2012, João Moutinho and Varela were some of the best player of the Portuguese squad in the defeat by 1-0 against Germany. The midfielder was in the starting team and had a key role in the ball possession, and the winger came in 80 minutes in, well in time to change the way of the match and almost scored the leveller.

As for the south-American qualifications for the World Cup 2014, James Rodríguez started the match Equator-Colombia (1-0) and, as usual, was the dynamo behind the offensive movements. Alvaro Pereira also started in Uruguay-Peru and helped the team win by 4-2. Finally, also for the qualification to the World Cup, Djalma and his squad of Angola ended the match against Liberia in a tie.
