“I was sure the team would answer”
 With several players unavailable, Vítor Pereira wasn’t expecting anything else. The team overcame the expected difficulties and overcame the opposition of Vitória de Guimarães. At the press conference, the coach defended Maicon and revealed he isn’t surprised about the growing rumours of international interest in his players.
Three goals, three points
“It was an intense game, where we seek the victory from the beginning. We managed to score three goals and, basically, what we showed proves that FC Porto is strong thanks to the team, regardless of the absent players and who are important for us. I was sure the team would answer the calling.”
Maicon gives balance
“More than my credit, there is a lot of work in Maicon, who gives confidence and balance to the team. He answers the club needs, even when people keep labelling him, as if he couldn’t play anywhere else but in the centre.”
