Ferrán Ventura and a “new cycle” in the blue and white season

Dragons play at home against Kapfenberg Bulls in matchday three of Group C of the FIBA European Cup

After the successful double matchday in the Azores, for the Portuguese Basketball League, FC Porto is going back to compete for the FIBA European Cup. The blue and whites will face the Austrian team Kapfenberg Bulls for matchday three of Group C, and Ferrán Ventura set the tone for the first European victory: “We have to play eager to win”. The match is scheduled for this Wednesday, at 15h00, at Dragão Caixa.

Giving a joy to the fans
“It's going to be a difficult match, so we have to have a good performance and, playing at home, we want to give a joy to the fans. We have to play eager to win and do it. It's important to play at home again, as, with the travels, we hardly even train.”

Daily work
“We have to go by day by day and think of ourselves, of our work. The travels and the fact that we didn’t train much did end up harming us in the last weeks, but I believe that, from now on, we will correct some mistakes and play better. We will face a strong team, but I believe we have our arguments and that we can win.”

“Of the four matches we’ve played in Europe this season, we won one and lost the other three by a small margin. This shows that we have a team that can fight toe to toe with other teams theoretically stronger and with more solutions. I think that we lacked a hint of luck at times, but it seems that situation is changing. We now have the group complete and I have no doubt that a new cycle has begun for us, a cycle that will certainly be very positive.”
