João Pedro signed until 2023

Brazilian defender, 21 years old, signed for five seasons

João Pedro is the newest reinforcement for FC Porto, having signed a contract valid for the next five seasons, until 2023.

The Brazilian defender, 21, arrives coming from Palmeiras, but was loaned to Bahia in 2018. Vice world champion in Under-20 in 2015, João Pedro was loaned to Chapecoense in 2017.

His debut for Palmeiras came in 2014, only 17 years old, and he started pretty much every match. In 2015, he helped win the Brazilian Cup, and, in 2016 the Brazilian Championship.

“It’s a dream come true. In Brazil, many players grow up with the objective of joining a big club in Europe, and I’m happy to wear this jersey. I hope to do my best for FC Porto”, the newcomer stated.
