Herrera, the MVP: “Very important victory”

Mexican midfielder scored the first goal and assisted for the second in the victory over Belenenses (2-0)

Named MVP in the victory of FC Porto over Belenenses (2-0), for matchday 11 of the Championship, Herrera preferred to highlight the importance of getting three more points. Scorer of the first goal, on minute 42, the captain also assisted for Aboubakar to score the goal that closed the scoreboard at Estádio do Dragão (90m).

Win and go
“It was a very important victory against a team that we knew would create difficulties for us. We started strong and we managed the match well, even if we only scored the second goal near the end. To stay in the lead, we have to keep this winning streak.”

Normal fatigue
“We had a difficult and intense match during the week, but great teams are used to playing every three days. When there is fatigue, we must reach in to our souls to seek strength.”

Focused on ourselves
“We don’t think of others, we just worry about doing our job. If we do our work 100%, I'm sure we will keep winning.”

Happy to help the team
“I was lucky to be in the right place and I'm happy to help the team stay on top. We will continue to work hard, because we still have many challenges ahead.”
