Participation in the EHF Cup starts in October

Dragons start the competition in the second round and will try to repeat the qualification for the group stage

FC Porto will enter the 2017/18 EHF Cup in the second qualifying round, with matches scheduled for October 7 or 8 and 14 or 15, 2017. The Dragons qualified to the competition after ending the last edition of Handball 1 in the second place and will try to at least repeat the campaign of the previous year, when they qualified from the third round of qualification and accessed the group stage. The draws of the first and second rounds take place on July 18, at the EHF headquarters, in Vienna.

The second qualifying round includes the 15 winners of the first round and the 17 seeded teams, including FC Porto. For the last barrier before the group stage (November 18 or 19 and 25 or 26), 16 teams will join the draw (October 17), along powerful teams, like Göppingen (champion in title) and Granollers, who faced the blue and whites last season, and other old acquaintances, like La Rioja, Füchse Berlin and Saint-Raphaël.
