Hélder Nunes: “We need to take favouritism”

Captain did the preview of the match against Follonica, for matchday three of the EuroLeague (Saturday, 17h00)

The third matchday of Group B of the EuroLeague has a match between the only two teams that won in both previous matchdays. This Saturday, at 17h00, mainland Portugal time, at the Palazzetto Armeni, in Italy, with live broadcast on Porto Canal, FC Porto Fidelidade will face Follonica, current eighth in Serie A1. Captain Hélder Nunes assumes the favouritism of the Dragons, but sees many difficulties in this away match against an opponent that started the season with the left foot, but who improve performances after changing Federico Paghi with Enrico Mariotti, the coach who, last season, led Réus to the victory over the EuroLeague.

Difficult travel
“It's going to be a very complicated match. Italy is a country where the sport is loved, which is reflected on the people going to the matches and Follonica is no exception. We will be playing on an extremely difficult rink against an excellent team.”

Looking for the three points
“Because we are FC Porto we have to take advantage of the favouritism, knowing in advance that it will be an extremely complicated match and that having a new coach [Enrico Mariotti] gives them an extra motivation and experience. He is a coach who won the EuroLeague last season and all his value transferred to Follonica, who already has excellent players, making the team even stronger than it was. We know we're going to have a lot of difficulties, but we'll try to win, as always.”

The best Follonica of the season?
“The championship has just started, but since they changed coaches they are playing better, winning more matches and they are going through a good momentum. Facing them at this point will be a bit more difficult because they are very motivated, but we have to do our job and win the match.”
