Will Hanley promises the European version in Montenegro

FC Porto is facing Mornar away for the opening matchday of group C of the FIBA European Cup

FC Porto's debut in the group stage of the FIBA European Cup is scheduled for Wednesday, in Montenegro, at 19h30, against Mornar, the losing finalist of the last edition of the local league playoffs, a team Will Hanley knows well. The American centre faced the Balkan team last season in the Champions League, when he played for Tenerife, and, at the preview of the match that will have live broadcast on Port Canal, considered that they are a “good team”, slightly different from last year, but still strong. Hanley assures, however, that the Dragons have the goal of winning, but, for that, they will have to improve their defensive performance, which, he admitted, was not well last Sunday, against Oliveirense, for the third matchday of the championship.

The European version
“I think they can expect the European FC Porto in this match. It's true that things in the league didn’t start well, as we lost the first two matches, but now we only think about beating Mornar.”

Analysis to the opponent
“We know we are going to face a good team, one of the best in Montenegro. I faced them last season and they played very well. This season, some players changed, but I think they are still strong.”

Defence needs to improve
“What we have to change in comparison to the last match is our defensive behaviour. That's where I think we were not well and we have to change it for this next match. We have to be more focused and not allow so many throws from the opponent.”
