After a “bad day” in Madeira, FC Porto's basketball team will once again focus on the FIBA European Cup, the competition that will have the Dragons facing, next Wednesday (20h30, Porto Canal), Kataja Basket, from Finland, at Dragão Caixa, for matchday five of Group C.
In the preview of the match, centre Will Hanley stated that a victory can guarantee a good position in the group for the blue and whites, adding that, despite facing a “good team”, the Dragons have a good chance of winning, if they can set their usual pace.
The secret to success
“We need to be more focused. This is a very important match for our future in the competition. If we win, we are in good position and so we want to play well and play our game.”
“They are a good team. They beat us in the first turn and so we already know that it won’t be easy. I think we have a good chance of winning if we can set our pace.”
Still the match in Madeira
“I think we played a bad game. We have to learn something from it and keep looking forward. We’re going to watch it again, correct the mistakes and forget about that bad day.”
