The blue and white midfielder was in the starting team, having been replaced on minute 75, by Rúben Neves, a former Dragon, in a match played this Friday night, at Estádio do Fontelo, in Viseu, which also counted on the participation of Ricardo Pereira. The right fullback, who reached his third cap for the main Portuguese team, went in after halftime to replace João Cancelo.
The goals of the team led by Fernando Santos were scored by Manuel Fernandes (32m), Gonçalo Guedes (52m), and João Mário (90m). Portugal will play again on Tuesday, at 20h45, against the United States of America, at the Estádio Municipal de Leiria.
