Latin inspiration for the third kit

The Air Blue pattern and the V neck are some of the news in the third kit for 2017/18

FC Porto and New Balance unveiled the brand new 2017/18 FC Porto third kit. Being part of the “Joga Sem Fronteiras” or “Play Without Boundaries”, the North-American brand drew inspiration from the colours of Latin America, creating a kit inspired by the colours so typical of the region. The third kit features an Air blue colour scheme, with navy cuffs, V collar and hem, giving the shirt a clean finish with stylish details.

The nape of the neck will show the line “Futebol Clube do Porto”, with the logo of the North-American brand coming next to the club’s crest, in navy blue. The kit is completed with Air blue shorts and socks, with zonal cushioning integrated in the sock’s ankle and achilles areas, for added support. The foot bed has been developed with polypropylene to alleviate excess moisture when the foot makes contact with the boot.

The goalkeeper kit has been engineered in line with the outfield players’ jerseys, sporting a mock vent and back body map mesh system to differenciate from the outfield kit. The Toxic Green design, with the club’s crest and NB branding in black, brings life to a simple looking kit, completed by the tonal three colour sleeve pattern.

FC Porto striker Tiquinho Soares already had the chance to enjoy this new gear, and was “impressed” with the looks and the quality: “The outfield kit is of the standards that this cub demands and I am looking forward to playing in it”. As for Richard Wright, General Manager of New Balance Football, he admitted that the cooperation between the brand and the club has been fantastic, and that he is sure the fans will love the new kit.

The kit will be available at the FC Porto Stores starting this Thursday, on June 15.
