Final stage of Andebol 1 starts in Avanca

FC Porto will be facing two consecutive classics: first against Benfica and then against Sporting

FC Porto will be going to Avanca for the opening matchday of Group A of the final stage of Andebol 1. The match against the team that ended the first stage in the fifth position is scheduled for March 24. The draw, held this Tuesday, at the headquarters of the Federação de Andebol de Portugal, in Lisbon, determined that the blue and whites will be facing two consecutive classics: first against Benfica, and then against Sporting, for the last matchday.

In this final stage, the teams start with half the points achieved in the first stage, with decimal numbers being rounded up when the value is 0.5 or above. This means the Dragons currently have 36 points, the same as Benfica, with whom they share the second place in the table - two points behind Sporting, first.

Should this stage end in a tie, the first tie breaker is the difference of goals scored and conceded in the second stage between the teams tied, and then between all teams.
