Single leader of the Ledman LigaPro, FC Porto B will again focus on the Premier League International Cup. For the third and final matchday of Group E, the Dragons will face Bayern Munich II (19h00, Porto Canal), this Friday, at Aldershot Town FC Stadium, in Hampshire (England), and are in the fight for the qualification to the quarter-final.
FC Porto B is the current holder of the trophy and is looking at the last spots given to the two best runners-up: in case of victory, FC Porto B automatically qualifies for the quarter-final, but, in case of a tie, the goal difference will determine the last team to move forward in the competition. In the preview of the match, central defender Jorge Fernandes showed confidence in a blue and white victory.
Motivated to win
“We are going to have a decisive match and the team is motivated. It's another match where we want to show our quality and win, obviously, in order to stay in this competition.”
Fight for all trophies
“Our biggest objective is the league, but we all like to be here. It’s not an obligation. We are here with pleasure and will, and this is how we face this competition. It doesn’t give us more responsibility, it gives us more motivation to continue our work.”
