Next Saturday, in Ponte de Sôr, Dragon Force may celebrate their second consecutive title as champions of Proliga, should they repeat the victory achieved in the first two matches of the play-off final. This Sunday, on the second match against Eléctrico, at Dragão Caixa, the white and blues again showed their superiority and won comfortably 103-76, in a match that ended with João Torrie as MVP (ten rebounds, two assists and eight points).
Unlike the match on Saturday, Dragon Force started dominant and with considerable efficiency when shooting. By the end of the first quarter, the white and blues were winning by 16 points and, at half-time, the difference was up to 30 points, facing an opponent that was clearly tired from the second game in less than 24 hours.
Eléctrico finally showed up for the match after the break. Thanks to good efficiency from the outside play, and taking advantage of some passivity and lack of focus from the home team, the team from Alentejo got to a partial of 23-20, which was still not enough to threaten the white and blue victory, as the Dragons were ahead by 27 points. Curiously enough, that was the difference by the end of the fourth period, as the white and blues corrected some of the mistakes made in the previous ten minutes.
Next Saturday, at 16h00, in Pavilhão Gimnodesportivo de Ponte de Sôr, Proliga may have the same winner as last season, only this time the team will be moving on to play in Liga de Basquetebol.
