Danilo Pereira was called by Fernando Santos for the next two official matches of the Portuguese national team, against Andorra and Switzerland, for the last two matchdays of Group B in the European qualification zone to the 2018 World Cup. The matches will determine if Portugal qualifies directly to the competition hosted by Russia, or, should the team end the group stage in the second place, if they will have to play que qualification play-off.
The European champions will start by facing Andorra, on October 7, a Saturday, at 19h45 (mainland Portugal time), at the National Stadium in Andorra la Vella, then facing Switzerland at Estádio da Luz, on October 10 (Tuesday), at 19h45.
Also this Thursday, the Under-21 coach, Rui Jorge, disclosed the names of the players who will represent the national squad against Bosnia Herzegovina, for group eight of the qualification stage to the 2019 European Championship, scheduled for October 10 (at 14h30, mainland Portugal time), in Zenica. The list has three Dragons: goalkeeper Diogo Costa, and defenders Diogo Dalot and Jorge Fernandes.
