Starting this Thursday, FC Porto will be part of the digital platform Dugout, a social network that gathers the biggest and most important football clubs and players in Europe and the rest of the World. The Dragons, the first Portuguese club to join the platform, set up another way to get closer to thousands of fans and supporters throughout the world, joining clubs such as Arsenal and Chelsea (England), Paris Saint-Germain (France), Bayern Munich (Germany) or Juventus and AC Milan (Italy).
For FC Porto, according to marketing director Tiago Gouveia, this is another step the club is taking towards “innovation and getting closer to fans in the digital world”, allowing for a space where the fans can follow the daily life at the club. As for the chairman of Dugout, he was “pleased” to count on the Dragons, stating that Portuguese football is admired everywhere in the world, and it is an asset to have FC Porto news on Dugout.
The access to the platform is free and one of the main advantages is that subscribers may access exclusive content of clubs and players, before these are broadcasted anywhere else. Apart from that, profiles of legends of each clubs will also be available, along with opinions of specialized commentators.
The idea behind the project is to offer an exclusive view on the sport, from the eyes of coaches, players and staff.
Launched in late November, Dugout is available through the website and in versions compatible with tablets and smartphones, and in eight different languages: Portuguese, English, Spanish, Catalan, German, French, Italian and Indonesian.
