Bonfim, a fertile land for Dragons

Relive some of the best goals scored in recent years in Setúbal. FC Porto faces Vitória at 20h15

What do former Dragons Quaresma, Lucho, Varela, Jackson, Quintero, and also Brahimi and Sérgio Oliveira, who are still part of the main squad, have in common? All of them scored goals in Setúbal for FC Porto. In the video above, and in a sort warm-up for the away match against Vitória de Setúbal, scheduled for this Sunday night (20h15), for matchday 14 of Liga NOS, we looked at recent past to select some of the best goals the Dragons scored at Estádio do Bonfim.

Bonfim has been a fertile land for FC Porto and, if you go back a few more years, the list of stars would be a true star parade: Falcao, Lisandro, Jorge Costa, Jardel, Drulovic, Rui Barros, Kostadinov, Madjer, Celso, Futre, Cubillas and Jaime Magalhães are among them.

The trips to Setúbal are often complicated, as can be seen by the 0-0 reached last season, but truth is that, in recent years, FC Porto gained a great advantage in the history of official matches there: between 1998 and 2016, the Dragons won 17 times, not just for the Portuguese League, but also in a meeting for the Portuguese Cup in 2008. The recent tradition was broken a little more than a year ago, but the Dragons have a chance this Sunday to resume it. The overall history of matches at Estádio do Bonfim has 38 victories, 22 defeats, and 17 ties.

The match (broadcasted live on Sport TV 1) will be previewed by Porto Canal starting at 19h00, and can be followed live on the official FC Porto app, and on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. After the final whistle, the match will be analysed in Porto Canal, and will have the report and statements from the coach and players.
