Ton Baliu: “It’s always important to win”

Dragons face La Vendéenne for the last matchday of Group B of the EuroLeague (Saturday, 20h00)

FC Porto Fidelidade faces La Vendéenne for the sixth and last matchday of Group B of the EuroLeague in roller hockey, but the outcome of the match will change nothing in terms of qualification for the Dragons, as the lead of the group is guaranteed and so is the qualification to the quarter-finals of the competition. At the preview of the match scheduled for Saturday (20h00, Porto Canal), at Dragão Caixa, Ton Baliu assured the blue and white focus is on getting three more points against the French team.

Win thinking of the future
“It’s always important to win, not just for the points, but also for what’s coming in the next few weeks. We will try to play well and win the match, obviously.”

The great goal Gonçalo Alves scored in Valença
“We played a good match there and we knew it would be a difficult rink to play in, but things turned out great and we were able to win, fortunately. We have world class players and the goal Gonçalo Alves scored proves just that.”

The support of the fans
“I hope Dragão Caixa is crowded as we always need our fans. I am happy if I score again, but what matters is that the team wins. That’s our focus.”

Match by match
“The next few months will be decisive for our season, but we always think match by match. Now we want to beat La Vendéenne and, after that, we will start thinking of Sporting, for the Portuguese Cup.”
