Aboubakar: “We played well and made the fans happy”

The Cameroonian striker was the man of the match, but chose to praised the performance of the team at Bonfim

Two matches, five goals. After scoring two against Monaco (5-2) last Wednesday, Vincent Aboubakar scored a hat-trick in Sunday's victory over Vitória de Setúbal (5-0) and reached the twenty goals mark already, 12 of them for the Portuguese League. “It’s always good to score goals”, the Cameroonian international star stated, who, as usual, preferred to praise the team's performance and the justice of the victory of the blue and whites.

Deserved victory
“We did an excellent match against a good team, who created danger right in the first minute. The first goal set the path for a good victory. We deserve this, as we played well and made our fans happy, and that's what matters.”

Response to the rivals?
“The most important thing is not giving a response to Benfica or Sporting, it is to win and to play matches with the quality we did today.”

The scoring streak
“The most important thing is to win. Anyone can score, Marega, Aboubakar, Corona, anyone. I was fortunate enough to score three goals, and I'm happy to be able to help the team. It's always good to score three, but the most important thing is the team and the victory.”

The best time of the career
“I'm happy to play. I want to thank the coach very much, the coaching staff and my teammates. Thank you, honestly. I just want to score goals and help the team. I can only thank and give my best in matches.”
