Golden Dragon for Jackson and Herrera

Colombian striker was nominated Athlete of the Year again and the Mexican midfielder is Football of the Year

Another “hat-trick” for Jackson Martínez. The top scorer of the Portuguese League in the last three seasons will be awarded the Golden Dragon for the third time in a row, repeating the feat of the last two seasons. The list of awards that, every year, are given to those that stand out the most in the FC Porto universe was disclosed for the season 2014/15, and includes footballers Héctor Herrera, from the main squad, and Francisco Ramos, from FC Porto B.

The award for Footballer of the Year, given to Danilo last season, will be going to the Mexican international star, who became a Dragon two years ago, having played 46 matches and scored nine goals so far with the white and blue jersey. The Young Athlete of the Year will be Francisco Ramos, a young midfielder from the B team, that did all his training at FC Porto and that, recently, played for the national team in the Under20 World Cup.

The Golden Dragon awarded to the Top Level Sportsman of the Year will be given to handball player Gilberto Duarte, one of the three athletes that were part of the seven titles in a row FC Porto won. Also from the handball team, Revelation of the Year is youngster Miguel Martins, who renewed with the Dragons for another five years just last week.

From the basketball team, came the Coach of the Year: Moncho López. The coach arrived at FC Porto six years ago, and recently also extended his contract, until 2020, led Dragon Force to the victory over the last two editions of Proliga. Before that, in 2010/11, he helped the white and blues win the Portuguese League.

Also from other amateur sports, swimmer Diana Durães, who was part of the seven times champions white and blue team, will be named Amateur Athlete of the Year.
The distinguishing continues with the Golden Dragon for General Manager of the Year, which will be handed to vice-chairman and director of the board Adelino Caldeira. The Partner of the Year will be Coca-cola, whereas Project of the Year will go to Academia de Bilhar, opened in December last year.

The Bishop of Porto, D. António Franscisco dos Santos, will be named Associate/Fan of the Year, and former co-operator at the club, Domingos Pereira, recently passed away, will be awarded with a Homage Golden Dragon.
