The midfielder played 11 years with the white and blue jersey and can be proud of once having been the youngest player ever to play an official match for FC Porto, in 2009, against Sertanense, for the Portuguese Cup, 17 years, four months and 15 days old. After two years at Paços de Ferreira, he returned to Estádio do Dragão in 2015, more mature and experienced, playing 18 matches and scoring three goals in 2015/16. Season 2016/17 was harder for the midfielder and he ended up being loaned to Nantes, in January 2017, then led by Sérgio Conceição. With the same coach, he is now part of the blue and white squad. An Under-21 European vice-champion for Portugal, of which he was the captain in the entire final stage, played in June 2015 in Czech Republic, Sérgio Oliveira is one of the most talented midfielders of his generation, showing great intelligence in what he does, and great passing capacity. Apart from the quality he adds to the midfield, where he can play different roles, Sérgio Oliveira is also another option for set pieces, which are increasingly decisive in modern football.
