​Winning cycle, goals in the end and debuts: the numbers in the victory in Jamor​

This Sunday, FC Porto reached the third consecutive victory in season 2018/19: the second in the Portuguese League, after the victory over the Supercup. The Dragons beat Belenenses 3-2 and remain in the lead of the competition. fcporto.pt presents here the most interesting numbers in the match at Estádio do Jamor. 

The number of consecutive victories FC Porto has in the Portuguese League, the best cycle with Sérgio Conceição, started after the defeat against Belenenses, at Estádio do Restelo, on April 2. The blue and white moved on to six consecutive victories until the end of the championship, winning the title. The cycle was extended with the victories against Desportivo de Chaves (5-0) and Belenenses (3-2), now at Estádio do Jamor, against a traditionally hard opponent. 20 goals were scored and 4 were conceded in this period.

In this cycle of eight consecutive victories FC Porto reached in the Portuguese League, there were four victories away, three of them reached with goals scored in the final moments. Héctor Herrera broke Benfica at Estádio da Luz on minute 90, Marega scored against Marítimo, in Madeira, on minute 89, and, this Sunday, Alex Telles was able to correct the scoreboard against Belenenses in Jamor, on minute 96. 

6 Alex Telles debuted for FC Porto on August 12, 2016. Two years later, he is one of the most influential players in the team, especially when it comes to assistances. This Sunday, he did his first assistance of the season, helping Diogo Leite score his goal. The best was saved for last, however. The Brazilian fullback took a great penalty that gave the victory to the blue and whites, scoring his sixth goal as a Dragon, in 93 matches. 

Aged 19 years old, Diogo Leite continues to firmly pave his path. He debuted officially for the main squad in the Supercup, against Desportivo das Aves. On his second match, against Desportivo de Chaves, he debuted for the League and at Estádio do Dragão. On his third match, the first goal. The central defender opened the scoreboard against Belenenses with a good header, in a month of August, 2018, he will surely never forget. 

17 Otávio only needed 17 seconds in the second-half of the match at Estádio do Jamor to score the second goal for the team, picking up a bad pass from an opponent before dribbling the goalkeeper and making it count against Belenenses. The Brazilian midfielder, 23, scored his first goal in season 2018/19, after doing three assistances in the first two matches. it was the seventh goal for the main team of FC Porto, in 57 matches.
