André Pereira was used from the start by Sérgio Conceição in the blue and white victory in Braga, against Benfica (3-1), for the semi-finals of the League Cup. The forward thank the confidence of the coach after the victory, in what was a show “for all the fans” at the stadium.

Intense classic
“It’s a classic, and, if it’s not well played and intense, it’s a shame, you can’t waste these matches. We wanted to put on a good show here in Braga, for all the fans, both the ones of FC Porto and of Benfica. We got what mattered the most, to win. We really want to win this title and the next battle for it comes Saturday.”

“Benfica waited in their midfield and aimed at counter-attacks, one of their weapons. At times, we didn’t have the necessary balance o stop those moments. It as a good show, where everyone at the stadium had fun, and that’s what matters the most in football.”
