Returning to the starting team after many, long months of a serious injury, Vincent Aboubakar was decisive in the victory over Young Boys (2-1), in Bern, Switzerland, for matchday five of Group G of Europa League. The Cameroonian striker scored both goals in the victory and admitted he was “happy” with the outcome that returns hope to the Dragons in the competition. Pepe admitted this was a “vital” match in the European path.

Pepe
“We know how important it is to keep believing in what we do and in everything that the coach asks of us. In the second-half, we were more daring. I am very pleased with the work the entire team did, as we didn’t deserve to lose this match. We knew we had to win and that this was a vital match for our path in Europa League. It’s difficult to start an away match losing, but the team was mature and daring enough to win. I also want to thank our fans, who supported us from start to end. They were fantastic and tireless.”

Aboubakar
“It’s a very special moment for me. I want to thank the coach, my teammates and the medical staff. I had some difficult moments in my recovery, and this was an emotional match for me. We started the second-half well, and really wanted to win this match. We need to continue like this to qualify to the next round. I am pleased to have scored and help the team win. I’m going to work hard and keep earning the confidence of my coach and teammates. Now we want to win the last match of the group, at home, to stay in Europa League.”
