Evanilson and Fábio Vieira voiced the confidence of the Dragons after winning three more points

FC Porto’s victory in the home match against Gil Vicente has the Dragons returning to victories in the championship, which was “the main objective” of the team. At the end of the match, midfielder Fábio Vieira and forward Evanilson, scorer of the only goal of the match, addressed the “difficult” match, where the blue and whites were able to manage being outnumbered to get the victory.

Evanilson
“This was, hands down, the most important week for me since I got here. The debut with this important shirt, and in the Champions League, a special competition, and tonight I scored on my first match at Estádio do Dragão. The start was a little tricky. It was getting hard to breach their defensive line and create opportunities. Teamwork was vital and we managed to score on our first situation. In the second-half, after that red card, we were able to suffer and, fortunately, we got what matters, the victory. I am pleased with this match, for the victory and for the goal, which belongs to the team. I hope it’s the first of many.”

Fábio Vieira
“It was a difficult match and that’s what we were expecting from the first moment. We knew they would play from the back and wait for us to make mistakes. It wasn’t a good first-half from us, but we were able to correct it for the second. We managed to win, which was our main goal. I feel well, I’m here to help. We are all in the squad to give everything for the club. I will keep working to get my opportunities.”
