André Silva, Gabri Veiga, and William Gomes didn’t even need 45 minutes to seal FC Porto’s victory in Viseu against Académico (3-0) on Matchday 4 of the League. The sole leader kept a clean sheet in the league, allowing Francesco Farioli and Diogo Costa to set historic records: the coach reached his 25th clean sheet in the first 38 matchdays, matching the century’s best milestone in the competition, and the goalkeeper reached his seventh consecutive clean sheet, a new milestone in his career.

With no changes to the starting lineup in comparison to their victory over FC Arouca, the Dragons practically came out ahead at Fontelo: on a persistent attack, before the clock had even reached five minutes, Pablo Rosario sent in a low cross from the right and André Silva tapped it in for the 1-0 lead.

Zaidu left the game with an injury in the 17th minute, making way for Martim Fernandes, and the lead was extended shortly after. Jan Bednarek played a through ball to Pepê, and the Brazilian international laid it off to Gabri Veiga, who, at the edge of the box, placed the ball in the far post (2-0).

Nehuén Pérez replaced Jan Bednarek at the start of the second half; Inbeom Hwang and Borja Sainz entered the game at the hour mark, swapping places with William Gomes and Pepê, and the Basque winger wasted no time testing Ewerton’s reflexes (67m). With just ten minutes remaining, Francesco Farioli substituted Alberto Costa for Alan Varela, and Porto held onto their three-goal lead until referee Miguel Nogueira signalled the end of the match, shortly after the home team posed a threat.
