André Franco's footballing career began at Sporting, where he completed almost all of his training, with the exception of the 2015/16 season when he played for the Belenenses Under19 team. In 2018/19, Estoril recruited the attacking midfielder for the Under23 and the six goals in 29 games that the youngster scored in his first season convinced the ‘Canarinhos’ to give him first-team minutes on the following season. 2020/21 was a breakthrough year for the 20-year-old. Franco played a key role in winning the second division, which led to the promotion to the top tier of Portuguese football, and in reaching the semifinals of the Portuguese Cup. In 2021/22, his debut season in the main division, he was the highlight for Estoril as he contributed with eleven goals and four assists in the 33 matches he played, helping the team reach the ninth place at the end of the season. In his first campaign in blue and white, the winger played 958 minutes in 25 games and contributed to winning the Portuguese Cup - he was decisive in Viseu when he scored the only goal of the tie against Académico - and the League Cup with three goals and an assist, the same numbers he showed the following season.
