Pepê

The name Eduardo Gabriel Aquino Cossa will say little or nothing to the ordinary football fan or FC Porto, but if we talk about Pepê, it’s a world of difference. Born in Foz do Iguaçu, in the state of Paraná, the winger made his entire career in Brazil and was at the service of Grémio that he shone as a senior, debuting for the main team of Porto Alegre in 2017. In 2018, he finally started to win his place in Grémio, but it was in 2019 and 2020 that all his talent gained strength with the numbers he reached: in these two years, Pepê played 108 games, scored 28 goals and made 15 assists. With a refined technique, the number 11 fulfilled his dream of playing for Brazil in November 2023 and, months later, he would become part of the yellow squad for the Copa América. All this while winning, in blue and white, a League, a Super Cup and three Portuguese Cups.
