Terem Moffi
Born in Calabar, less than 40 kilometres from the Cameroon border, Terem Igobor Moffi left Nigeria at the age of 17 to join Buckswood Football Academy in England. His experience in British football was followed by his professional debut in Lithuania, first at Zalgiris Kaunas and then then moving to FK Riteriai. After scoring 20 goals in 21 games in the Lithuanian League, the left-footed forward caught the attention of Kortrijk and moved to Belgium. His adventure on Belgian soil was shorter than expected due to the pandemic, but it would prove to be equally fruitful: in the 11 games played in January, February, and August 2020, the 1.88-metre striker scored six times and moved to French club Lorient, where he made an immediate impact. His debut goal was followed by a streak of five consecutive games scoring and another of six goals in three games, which allowed him to end the 2020/21 season with 15 goals and convinced Gernot Rohr to call him up for the first time to the Nigerian national team, for which he made his debut in June 2021, against Cameroon. Eight goals and four assists later, Terem Moffi started 2022/23 with 12 goals in 18 games and moved to the Côte d'Azur, where he scored 20 times and provided six assists. Returning in March 2025, he scored once in five games and, in the first half of 2025/26, he scored three goals in 15 games before joining the Dragons.
