Zaidu

Born in Lagos, Nigeria's largest city, Zaidu Sanusi moved from his native country to Portugal in 2016 with the intention of representing Gil Vicente, but was soon transferred to Mirandela, where he excelled for two seasons. In Trás-os-Montes, the speedy left fullback made 35 appearances, scored three goals and caught the eye of several Premier League clubs. Signed by Santa Clara at the start of the 2019/20 season, Zaidu was one of the revelations of the league. In his 27 appearances for the islanders, he scored one goal and attracted the interest of FC Porto. He arrived in Porto in the final days of August 2020 to strengthen the blue and white squad. Winner of the Portuguese Cup and the Super Cup on two occasions, as well as the League Cup won in 2023, the fullback became larger than life when he scored the decisive goal at Estádio da Luz that allowed FC Porto to celebrate their 30th national title.
