Dragons will go to Moreira de Cónegos. Draw also determined the possibility of a classic in the semifinals

Moreirense is the opponent FC Porto will face in the 2017/18 quarter finals of the Portuguese Cup, as determined by the draw held this Monday at Cidade do Futebol, in Oeiras. The Dragons will travel to Estádio Comendador Joaquim de Almeida Freitas between January 9 and 11. The schedule for the semifinals was also agreed, with the winner of the match Moreirense-FC Porto fighting for the final against the winner of the match Cova da Piedade-Sporting, with the first playing the first leg at home.

As far as the Portuguese Cup is concerned, history only shows one match between the team from Porto and the team from Moreira de Cónegos. It was in the year 2010 (season 2010/11), which ended with the blue and whites raising the trophy for the 16th time. At Estádio Comendador Joaquim de Almeida Freitas, Radamel Falcao scored the winning goal 1-0.

FC Porto reaches the quarter finals after eliminating Lusitano de Évora (6-0), Portimonense (3-2) and Vitória de Guimarães (4-0), while the team from Minho beat Canelas 2010 (3 -1), Felgueiras (5-2) and Santa Clara (2-2, 6-5 after penalty shootout).

This will be the second time the two teams face each other officially this season, as, for the League, FC Porto beat Moreirense at home, 3-0, in matchday 3. Vincent Aboubakar, with a hat-trick, was the man of the match.
