Sérgio Conceição praised the strength of the team in what he defined as a "fantastic victory"

Fantastic. This was the term used by Sérgio Conceição to define the victory over the Championship and the year, his first as coach of FC Porto, which ended with the much desired title of national champion. Effort, dedication, passion and team strength were some of the other terms used by the blue and white coach to “explain” the much desired victory.

“It was a fantastic victory. I prefer to talk of the team, as this was a victory of teamwork. It was an effort made by the coaching staff and the players, which, in the end, allowed us to get the title we and the club wanted so much”, the coach started, talking exclusively to fcporto.pt.

“It was a great year, with a lot of work, sacrifice and dedication. And, of course, a lot of love for the club. There was a lot of passion in what was done. And it was important to bring back that DNA that made part of FC Porto for so many years, in so many beautiful victories”, he continued.

Beautiful victories that are made eternal at the Museum, and, when the time came to add “his” victory to so many others, the coach was open about that special feeling. After all, it is the first trophy that is given to the Museum and Sérgio Conceição wants it to be just the first of many.

But, for now, the trophy for the 28th Championship in the blue and white history is the favourite at the Museum, and the coach dedicates it to his late parents, family, players, and the entire structure of the club.
