Herrera and Layún started the match, Corona jumped halfway through it to face South Korea
This Saturday, Mexico reached the second victory in two matches in Group F of the 2018 World Cup, this time against South Korea (2-1). Héctor Herrera, Miguel Layún and Jesús Corona, blue and white players, helped their team win the match.
Just like against Germany (1-0), Héctor Herrera played in the heart of the midfield while Miguel Layún took the right wing. Jesús Corona went in during the match. Carlos Vela scored from penalty in the first-half and Chicharito Hernández increased the advantage in the second-half. Son Heung-min reduced in stoppage time.
Herrera and Layún played the full match, while Corona did his debut in the 2018 World Cup, replacing Hirving Lozano, 71 minutes in.
With this score, Mexico now has six points, and has very good chances of reaching the Round of 16. Mexico will face Sweden for the third matchday, scheduled for next Wednesday.
