Dragons beat Schalke, 3-0, in the opening matchday of Group D

The Under19 FC Porto team started the UEFA Youth League with a victory, achieved this Tuesday, against Schalke (3-0), in Bochum, Germany, for matchday 1 of Group D. Fábio Silva (32m), Romário Baró (57m), and Angel Yesid (74m) scored the goals for the Dragons, who take the lead of the group.

In a well played match, without any team showing dominance over the other, FC Porto ended up being more efficient in the first-half, reaching the advantage by Fábio Silva, with João Mário doing the assistance (32m). That same João Mário was again under the spotlight in the second-half, with another assistance, this time to Romário Baró, for the 2-0 for the Dragons (57m). The final score was set by Angel Yesid, with a pass from Fábio Vieira (74m).

For matchday 2 of Group D of the UEFA Youth League, FC Porto faces Galatasaray, in Olival. The match is scheduled for October 3 (Wednesday), at 14h00.
