Dragons want the three points against Lokomotiv to take the lead in Group D of the Youth League (Wednesday, 14h00)

The Under19 also have no time to rest. A few hours after the difficult, but good victory over Gild Vicente (2-1), for the National Championship in Juniors A, the team led by Mário Silva was back at Olival to prepare for the trip to Moscow, to face Lokomotiv for matchday three of the Youth League (Wednesday, 14h00, mainland Portugal time). The ambition is the same as always, the coach explained, confirmed by midfielder Vítor Ferreira: getting three more points to add to the four the team already has, against an opponent who also hasn’t lost in the competition, to take the lead of Group D.

Mário Silva
“It’s a difficult challenge, as all in this competition. We know they are a team with quality and the numbers show exactly that, they are strong at home. On our end, we have respect for the opponent, but we will be playing with the usual ambition, which means to aim for a victory and take the lead of the group. In the last match played, against Galatasaray (2-2), we lost two points, which we want to recover quickly, and this match will be perfect for that.”

Vítor Ferreira
“We will be facing a competitive and aggressive team, which will pose many problems, but we are prepared. We worked well during the week, which ended with a good victory, also difficult, against Gil Vicente, and now we will surely follow up on that in Moscow, where we want to beat a team that has yet to lose in the Youth League.”
