The Portuguese midfielder stated the team deserved to win

Danilo admits FC Porto didn’t start in the best possible way against Portimonense, but praised the merit of the team in the turnaround against Portimonense (4-1), reached in the second-half.

The Portuguese international star stated the national champions have been adjusting to different scenarios, overcoming the difficulties placed by each opponent.

Better in the second-half
“It was a difficult match, against a well-organized team, that moves on the counter-attack with danger. We went in too relaxed and conceded the goal. We took a while to react, but, little by little, we took control of the match and managed to tie in the first-half. In the second, we were more pragmatic and dominant. We started without aggression and intensity and that allowed Portimonense to create danger, but we corrected our mistakes, repositioned ourselves and we were able to win the match. In the second-half, we did everything we didn’t do in the first.”

11 victories in a row
“We are in a good momentum and the victories speak for themselves. The championship has been highly competitive and the teams know each other well, which forces us to have more weapons than last season. Credit should be given to the team.”

The match against Galatasaray
“Everything is set, but we need to go to Turkey and respect the history of FC Porto and the fans, who are very ambitious. We need to go in eager to win and do what we are used to doing.
