FC Porto beat Rio Ave (2-1) for matchday 14 of the League

The blue and white players praised Rio Ave for their performance at Estádio do Dragão, but also praised the capacity to recover shown by the national champions, to assure another turnaround (2-1), thanking the fans for the support throughout the match. Yacine Brahimi and Moussa Marega scored the blue and white goals in matchday 14 of the League.

Yacine Brahimi
“It was a complicated match, and we knew Rio Ave plays well. We conceded a goal again, and again we had to fight for the victory. What matters is that we did win and that the spirit of the group, of every player, is well. We need to keep working and try to improve, so we don’t keep conceding goals, as I believe this was the fifth match where we conceded the first goal, but our capacity to react should be praised. Thank you to all the fans for the support. 15 victories? We need to stay on track and get more.”

Maxi Pereira
“It was a difficult match, against a good team. Congratulations to Rio Ave, for the way they played at Estádio do Dragão. We also have merit for the way we won. The team took a hard blow, but managed to turn it around. We are happy because it was important to win today. The fans know how important they are to us, we felt their support and it’s nice to see entire families coming to support us. We know that, if we win, people will have a happier Christmas. We don’t look at records, it was important to win today because of the team, as everyone is doing a great effort. We played a good match.”
