The first statement of the Senegalese midfielder as a FC Porto player

Mamadou Loum did his first training as a FC Porto player this Friday. After the training session at the Centro de Treinos e Formação Desportiva PortoGaia, in Olival, the defensive midfielder talked to Porto Canal about the new chapter in his career.

The Senegalese player, 22, wants to keep evolving, now with the blue and white shirt, and assures he was welcomed by the FC Porto squad.

Happy to play for FC Porto
“I am happy to be here. The first training was great and I joined a group that welcomed me and helped me a lot in this first training session. FC Porto is a great club, the facilities are fantastic, and I want to keep evolving here.”

The ambition of Sérgio Conceição
“The coach is very ambitious, he always wants to win, and I’m like that too, I’m very ambitious. I always want to win. That’s what matters the most to me.”

The right club to grow
“I’m a defensive midfielder by definition, but I want to evolve and become a box-to-box. We have to adapt to anything the coach wants. I’m here to help the team, to help FC Porto. This is the right moment and the right club to keep growing.”
