Midfielder regretted the lack of efficiency of FC Porto in Moreira de Cónegos

FC Porto conceded a tie (1-1) against Moreirense, for matchday 21 of the League. The national champions are still in the lead of the competition, but Danilo Pereira regrets the lack of efficiency in the match played in Moreira de Cónegos.

Danilo, who returned to the starting team, admits FC Porto wasn’t fortunate in the last two matchdays of the League and assures the team is fully capable of recovering from this less positive phase.

Unfortunate with finishing
“We could have done more, especially with the finishing. We created many occasions, but we haven’t been fortunate in that department. This isn’t the result we wanted, but these negative phases happen and it’s up to the team to come out of it.”

Compliments to Moreirense
“Moreirense is highly organized, moving quickly to the counter-attack. We didn’t conceded that many opportunities, but we lacked the efficiency we usually have, and that goes for the last two matches.”

Marega being out
“Of course there are routines and we are used to having Marega, but we have various solutions. We still created opportunities, what we failed to do was score from them.”

React without reaching the victory
“We conceded a goal from a set piece, we knew they could pose danger like that, but we lost focus. Fortunately, we were able to react, but that wasn’t enough to reach the victory.”

A key moment for the team
“We are not used to losing this many points, and this will be a key moment, as we will come out on top of this.”
