FC Porto beat Forte dei Marmi (5-1), in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the EuroLeague

This Sunday, FC Porto Fidelidade guaranteed an important advantage for the second leg of the quarter-finals of the EuroLeague in roller-hockey. The team led by Guillem Cabestany went to Italy to beat Forte dei Marmi, 5-1, and now has a good chance to assure the participation in the Final Four of the competition, just like last season, when they reached the final.

Gonçalo Alves opened the scoreboard 30 seconds in, after recovering the ball and starting a nice individual play. Receiving the pass from Hélder Nunes, Giulio Cocco increased the lead and the home team was only able to respond 13 minutes in, after a penalty taken by Federico Ambrosio.

Giulio Cocco scored his second goal with an assistance from Gonçalo Alves, and Hélder Nunes closed the first-half with a direct free-hit. An excellent performance for FC Porto in this period.

The efficiency levels dropped in the second-half, but the Dragons were able to score the fifth goal, the second for Gonçalo Alves, from a penalty.

The blue and whites will face Forte dei Marmi at home on April 6. Before that, next Wednesday, FC Porto Fidelidade plays at the Pavilhão das Goladas, against HC Braga, for matchday 21 of the National Championship (19h45).
