Team led by Guillem Cabestany defeated Forte dei Marmi, this time at Dragão Caixa, 3-2

FC Porto Fidelidade, who had already won in Italy for the first leg, 5-1, assured this Saturday the qualification to the semi-finals of the EuroLeague for the second year in a row, after beating Forte dei Marmi again, now at Dragão Caixa, 3-2. The Portuguese team will face Barcelona next, as the Catalan team eliminated Noia.

With captain Hélder Nunes unavailable and a significant advantage in the round, the blue and whites started the match with a low pace and even allowed the Italian team to pose danger to Nelson Filipe. Still, eight minutes in, Reinaldo García, the captain for the match, scored the first goal of the match, with Martí Casas tying shortly after. Finally on top of the match, the Dragons scored the second right after that, from a penalty taken by Gonçalo Alves, reaching the break in the lead.

The second-half started with Reinaldo García again in evidence. The Argentinian increased the advantage (3-1) and then Franco Platero reduced the distance again (3-2). Until the end, the Dragons managed the match quietly, assuring the qualification to the next stage of the competition with two victories.

FC Porto Fidelidade will play again on Wednesday, April 10, 21h00, against AE Física, from the second division, in the Round of 16 of the Portuguese Cup. The match will take place at the home team’s pavilion, in Torres Vedras, and will be broadcasted live in Porto Canal.
