Sérgio Conceição talked of the fairness of the victory over Nacional (4-0), a good “reflection” of the team’s performance

On the last away match in this edition of the League, FC Porto beat Nacional 4-0 and assured that the fight for the title remains open until the end, with the Dragons facing Sporting for matchday 34. Sérgio Conceição talked of the difficulties that could have come from the match and enjoyed the capacity of the team in overcoming them.

Winning a demanding match
“Pressure is part of our job, in that we are demanding about our work. This was a match that could have become complicated, as it was a final against Nacional, in a hot day, and Nacional has a good team. We made the match easy, as we remained focused on our objective and on what we planned, aiming at exploiting Nacional’s defensive debilities. We created many opportunities and the result is a reflection for what happened on the pitch.”

The fight for the national title
“We had to do our job. The commitment of this group was to take the lead after this match. We don’t depend only of ourselves to become champions. We want to win our last match, at Estádio do Dragão.”

The nerves caused by a close fight
“Those who live this sport with passion are always there. When you don’t feel nervous, you find a reason to be nervous.”

A special group
“Since I started my path at FC Porto, union has been a constant and so important that it helped us win the championship last year, the Supercup and the chance at the Portuguese Cup. The spirit is good and I’ve said it before. This is the best group I’ve ever found as a coach and a player.”
