Héctor Herrera, scorer of the second goal of the Dragons, was pleased for helping win the match for FC Porto

After the 2-1 victory in the last matchday of the championship, Herrera, scorer of the second goal for the blue and whites, was pleased with the performance of the team and assured that, even though the main objective failed, the Dragons are already focusing on the final of the Portuguese Cup, played next weekend.

Objective reached
“We had to do our job, which meant winning and saying goodbye to this house with a good match and a good victory, while waiting for the result of other matches. Fortunately, we managed to win, and I was able to help, so I’m happy.”

Focus on the Portuguese Cup
“Truth is that we knew we had to do our part and we did. We have to take our responsibility now, as I feel we were the ones to blame for losing the championship. But now we have to raise our heads and prepare for the final of the Portuguese Cup, as we want to win it and bring it home.”

Goal acored 87 minutes in
“It was amazing! This might sound ridiculous, but I dreamt of this. The last match of the season, a beautiful goal, setting record for the most goals scored in a season, so I want to thank God for this opportunity. Even though we didn’t reach our objective of winning the championship, I am proud to belong to this club, to this great family, to this team.”

Unique feeling
“I’m not sure this was a farewell or not. I always try to give my best, I can’t always score, so I really celebrate it when I do, especially if it helps the team win. I want to thank the support of everyone and of my teammates, because this is a unique feeling.”
