FC Porto had an unfortunate debut in the 2019/2020 edition of Liga NOS, after losing in Barcelos, 2-1, against Gil Vicente. After the match, Pepe stated the Dragons missed too many opportunities, but reminded the need to learn and to stay united.

“I feel we started well, as we had several occasions to score in the first-half, but failed. They started gaining confidence and that made the difference. The team fought well and had good moments. We worked hard, but it wasn’t enough. We need to raise our heads and unite. The path is long.”

Correct the bad moments
“Here we all win and we all lose. What matters is to analyse what we did, good and bad, and correct the bad to prevent it in the future. We tied, but then we couldn’t make the best of that. We will keep working to have a great championship.”
