FC Porto beat Vitória de Guimarães (3-0), at Estádio do Dragão, for matchday four of the championship

Three goals, three points, third consecutive victory in the championship for FC Porto, beating Vitória de Guimarães (3-0), at Estádio do Dragão, for matchday four of the championship. After the match, Marchesín and Matheus Uribe talked of the importance of continuing a good streak. Now there’s a stoppage for national duty.

Marchesín
“Obviously, I am pleased with the victory, even if we didn’t play a great first-half. We improved in the second-half, and confirmed the victory in the final minutes. I feel well and I try to do things well. I am thankful to play in a world class team, and I will always give my best to take opportunities. I am happy to be at FC Porto and everyone is kind to me. We know we have a big squad for the competitions ahead. We will fight until the end for the championship.”

Matheus Uribe
“That red card at the start obviously gave us more space to move and we won. It’s always good to win, the team is motivated and aware of the responsibility ahead. Now there is national duty and we will return eager to fight for the championship. Here in Portugal, everyone is on equal grounds, there are no favourites, so we always have to play as if it were a final, as everyone wants to beat FC Porto. As for me, I still have a lot to give, I’m integrating better with time and adjusting to the group and to what the coaching staff asks.”
