Sérgio Conceição was ambitious at the end of the match, at Estádio do Dragão, after beating Feyenoord 3-2 and qualifying to the next stage of Europa League, in the lead of Group G

After beating Feyenoord 3-2 at Estádio do Dragão, for matchday six of Group G of Europa League, FC Porto qualified to the Round of 32 of the competition, in the lead of the group, which means the Dragons will be first seed in the draw, next Monday. The blue and white coach praised the group and admitted he wants to reach the final of the competition.

Spirit and character
“Objective reached. It was a difficult group stage ad we end it in the lead, but not as brilliantly as we wanted. We lacked efficiency on the attack, and, on the defence, we could and should have been more balanced. The spirit of the team helped. Tonight, we were winning 2-0 and could have made it 3-0, but, instead of that, we conceded 2 consecutive goals. However, we have a great team, with character, and scored the third goal before the break. In the second-half, we should have been more accurate, but fatigue started to take over.”

Belief
“We were trying too hard form the middle when we started to create plays, and kept losing the ball, so we suffered with that. We corrected it, gave consistency to the team, and, in the second-half, we should have made it count when we moved up. But the belief of the team was perfect.”

Ambition
“We are a historic club, with tradition, and we will honour the history of the club. This is a beautiful competition and we want to go as far as possible and that means the final. Not everything is perfect, but we are here to work on those flaws and make the team stronger.”
