FC Porto is in the final of the Portuguese Cup, after beating Académico de Viseu 3-0, at Estádio do Dragão, in the second leg of the semi-finals. Alex Telles (19m), from penalty, Zé Luís (64m) and Sérgio Oliveira (74m) scored for the blue and whites, who will now be facing Benfica in the final. The final of the Portuguese Cup is scheduled for May 24, at Estádio do Jamor.

Despite playing with several changes in the starting team, in comparison to the classic against Benfica, FC Porto soon imposed to Académico de Viseu, but it took a penalty to open the scoreboard. Felix Santos pushed Zé Luís in the area and Manuel Oliveira signalled the penalty, taken superbly by Alex Telles, scoring his ninth goal in the season (19m). In the lead, the Dragons became even more pressing.

Nakajima (29m), Manafá (36m) and Luis Díaz (42m) aimed for the 2-0, but Zé Luís was the one that came really close to scoring, twice in the same play (43m). In spite of the blue and white superiority, the break came with the Dragons winning by the minimum advantage, but the difference would be increased. After Luis Díaz (59m) and Tecatito Corona (63m) wasted two more clear opportunities, FC Porto finally scored again.

After having scored the first goal in a cold night, Alex Telles passed to Zé Luís for the 2-0: cross from the Brazilian fullback and a perfect header from the Cape Verdean forward (64m). Shortly after, in a corner-kick taken by Alex Telles, Diogo Leite headed at the near post and Sérgio Oliveira pushed it in for the 3-0, but the goal was disallowed, so the VAR had to step in to set it straight. The blue and white midfielder was in good position and the 3-0 ended the elimination round (74m).
